The observation and the thinking happen in the open, and they keep moving.
Wealth For Life is where you and I learn to read the water together.
Why I write
A path finder who will not share his knowledge is not one to trust.
That is the short answer. The longer one is that the firm's methodology raises questions the conventional financial-advice literature does not address. How to calculate risk capacity from a balance sheet. How institutions, ideology and culture interact. Why bonds held to maturity carry less risk than their market prices suggest. Why the four percent rule is a mathematical fiction. Why the institutional structures around a currency matter more than the currency itself. And much more. They deserve a fuller and ongoing exploration than a firm website can deliver.
My Wealth For Life site is that place. It is where real life observations are reflected on. Feelings explored. Ideas stress-tested. Some of it is written for readers who are considering whether to become clients. Most of it is written for anyone thinking seriously about money, institutions, psychology and culture and how it all flows and ebbs. And ebbs and flows.
Wealth For Life
A website on money, institutions, psychology, culture and the structural conditions that make financial autonomy possible. I try to publish once a month. Sometimes more. Sometimes less. At times it is good to be silent. At times it is good to speak up.
A note on sharing my thoughts
The essays are sometimes just me thinking out loud about life. Sometimes they are educational and analytical. They look at a multitude of ideas about money, markets, relationships, culture and institutional behavior. They do not contain specific investment recommendations, testimonials, or guarantees of results, and they are not a substitute for advice tailored to an individual's circumstances.
Clients of the firm receive advice under a signed Advisory Services Agreement. The writing is a separate activity, for anyone who is interested in the issues of money, psychology and structure.
